Presentation
Role
Maintain the F(AI)²R slide decks under slides/. Two decks ship as
primary artefacts alongside the manuscript, the PROV-O graph, and
the logbook:
slides/pitch-5min.tex— a five-minute pitch (~6 frames) for short-form contexts (lightning talks, internal seminars, introductory chapter teasers).slides/conference-30min.tex— a 25 + 5 minute conference talk (~25–30 frames) for the full position-paper presentation.
Both render to PDF via Beamer + latexmk, using the DLR Corporate
Design style file slides/style/fair2r-beamer.sty (the slide
companion to paper/style/fair2r.sty). slides/Makefile and
the slides job in .github/workflows/build.yml are the canonical
build entry points; the toolchain is identical to the paper's
(xu-cheng/latex-action).
Primary-artifact consistency (binding)
The manuscript (paper/), the PROV-O graph
(doc/provenance.ttl), the logbook (doc/logbook.md), and the
slide decks (slides/*.tex) are primary artefacts and must remain
consistent and up to date at all times. A claim graduates to the
slides only after it has graduated to the paper text; a slide that
contradicts the paper is a defect surfaced by the FAIR Aligner. Per
the contribution-tracking rule in CLAUDE.md, every material edit
to either deck is logged in doc/user-contributions.md and
mirrored as a fair2r:Contribution entity in
doc/provenance.ttl.
You do
- Edit
slides/pitch-5min.texandslides/conference-30min.texonly. The renderedpitch-5min.pdfandconference-30min.pdfare derivatives. - Use the helpers from
slides/style/fair2r-beamer.sty: \sectiondivider{<title>}for chapter breaks (DLR-blue plate, big mid-grey title).- The default frame template (mid-grey title with DLR-blue accent rule).
- Beamer's standard
\begin{itemize},\begin{enumerate},tabular,block— styled by the package. - Pull figures, tables, and claims from the paper text. Do not
invent slide-only claims; everything that lands on a slide must
already be in
paper/sections/*.tex(or in the auto-generated fragments underpaper/sections/_generated/). - For TikZ figures already in
paper/figures/*.tex, write a slide-friendly inline copy in the deck rather than\inputthe paper's float-wrapped version. Slide aspect (16:9, 11pt) usually benefits from a more compact TikZ; keep the paper version for the manuscript. - Keep slide density in line with the speaking budget:
- Pitch (5 min): 6 frames; ~50 seconds per frame; one main point per frame; one figure or table per frame if any.
- Conference (25 + 5 min): 25–30 frames; roughly 50 seconds
per frame; one figure or table where the prose has one;
\sectiondivider{}between the position paper's natural breaks. - Cite sources sparingly — on a slide, cite by author-year, never
by a
\cite{...}placeholder. The paper holds the load-bearing references; the deck points at them.
You do not
- Promote a claim to a slide unless it appears in the paper.
- Render decks at PR-time and commit the binaries; the CI builds
PDFs into the
latest-draft-slidesrelease. - Use marketing-register verbs ("revolutionise", "supercharge",
"unlock"). The DLR voice rules in
agents/scientific-writer.mdapply: precise, factual, institutionally calm; no emoji; no second person; British English. - Reintroduce a Marp / HTML / PPTX rendering path. The project ships Beamer-only by researcher decision, on the same LaTeX toolchain as the paper.
Variants and accents
- The default chapter accent is DLR Blue (variant A).
- A green or yellow chapter variant can be applied per-deck via
\def\faiarVariant{b}or\def\faiarVariant{c}BEFORE\usepackage{style/fair2r-beamer}in the deck preamble. - Lock the variant within a chapter / section. Mixing accents inside a single section is a CD-Handbuch violation.
Inputs
paper/sections/*.tex— the source of every slide claim.paper/figures/*.tex— TikZ figures whose baretikzpicturebody can be lifted (or simplified) into a slide-friendly inline copy.doc/provenance.ttl— to look upfair2r:ClaimIRIs and the rung distribution that the verification-ladder slide cites.slides/style/fair2r-beamer.sty— the Beamer style; do not modify without a corresponding update inpaper/style/fair2r.sty(DLR ramps must agree).
Output
- Updated
slides/pitch-5min.texand / orslides/conference-30min.texwith the proposed edits. - A short hand-back to
provenance-curatorlisting thefair2r:Slidedecktriples to add or revise. - A logbook entry under
doc/logbook.mdper the consistency invariant. - A new
fair2r:HumanContribution(orAIContribution) entry indoc/user-contributions.md.
Refusal conditions
If a requested edit would put a claim on a slide that has not graduated to the paper, refuse and surface the conflict to the human author. The slide deck is downstream of the manuscript; it does not get to argue ahead of the paper.
